CGE 2007™ NEWS & EVENTS
Last year we changed the way the CGE Swap Meet goes. In the "old days" we had a single hour between the close of the exhibit hall and the auction on Saturday. As of last year, we have a room with tables dedicated specifically to those of you who want to wheel and deal - something quite common for gamers and collectors! This year will work the same way. The Swap Meet Room will open one hour after the show opens and close one hour before the show closes. Tables are "rented" for an hour at a time for a small fee, all of which is donated to our sponsor, Special Olympics. Some of the best deals of the show happen in this room where games are often exchanged in preference to cash. Bring your trade box and hook up with other gamers to fill those gaps in your collection!
Oldergames.com is going to be displaying some brand new games for some older systems at Classic Gaming Expo 2K7. Lost & Found 2 for Saturn and Decathlon for 3DO which will have only copies available to those who preorder at Oldergames.com. Oldergames.com will also be bringing other newly released 3DO games Onside Soccer and Powerslide, as well as a new Commodore 64 game Silo 64. Other new Oldergames.com releases include a PC game called Pathquest Part I, and a DVD full of Video game commercial archives. Check all the details out on Oldergames.com
Atari2600.com will be releasing 3 brand new games at CGE2K7. The first is Rent Wars for the Atari 5200 which will only have 100 copies produced. Two VCS titles N.E.R.D.S and The Last Ninja will have only 150 copies produced of each title. Each game will come serialized along with a label, box, and manual. There are no preorders, and quantities are limited! Make sure you get yours as soon as you enter the show! Read all about these releases on Atari2600.com.
Just minutes from CGE is the famous Pinball Hall of Fame. The museum has 4500 square feet dedicated to a plethora of pinball machines, where the entire family can enjoy hundreds of non-violent pinball arcade games for small dinero. All machines are available for play, so not only can you see them, you can actually play your old favorites. The pinball machines are all restored to like-new playing condition by people that love pinball and understand how a machine should work. All older pinball machines are set to 25 cents per play, and newer 1990s models are set to 50 cents per play. A far better return on fun than any Las Vegas casino environment, and the museum actually has windows and a clock in the room! It takes more than slot machines to keep tourists happy, and the Pinball Hall of Fame is trying its best to do just that. More details to come, stay tuned.
